Mission Red Fort: Side A: An Account of the Bloody Sweet 'OG'

Updated: Jan 26, 2024

ReDkp

26th January, 2023

Agents avoid exhibiting charm since they are busy exhibiting daunting missions!

While signing up for this mission, I had in my mind that the past expeditions were just net practice and that this was where my 'OG' game was going to start.

My Instagram Stories would never consist of "Oh my cuties," or "Oh my homies>>>" and all. I felt left alone on these small group trips and parties throughout the first year, so now all these expeditions were making a point in the corner indirectly that I don't need anyone for expeditions but you might require my travel prowess!

If ReDkp trying sarcasm had a face:

Credit: JK Tamil! Haha!

No, I was just being sarcastic here! I was making the point that through my Instagram stories, people were travelling along with me unlike being left out as such. One could back my travel instincts now and traverse through without any hassle as such.

We ended with this lead. This should have generated certain hype as such. Let's break down the post-credit from the past through this timeline.

I watched Sultan on a Madras home theatre at my paternal uncle's place; it has a lot of adventurous context around it!

Timeline:

August 7: Incomes a brochure in the history class group in a non-history semester... A shaky ReDkp from that hell of a Hyderabadi mission ignores that brochure. Time-stamped 22:00 hours and he hears a door knock... He finds his friend Spartan Bhai waiting outside with the intent to discuss the same brochure... Post that discussion, he signs in for the mission with the intent to work undercover until it gets official. This time he gets a partner in crime either...

September 20: Post the tumultuous time at the mid-semester examinations, I had to visit Madurai as I required some healing, rewiring and recharging of my mind. As I returned from the short commercial break, we sat at 22:00 hours in the first-floor mess area to design the abstract that had to be submitted in the next two hours as per the deadline.

As we were into the process at one corner, at the diagonal opposite we spotted two encyclopedias of our class namely Wikipedia (A NICKNAME AS SUCH) and NBA were also slotted amongst the second-week October mission to Delhi. They never had an idea that I was also slotted for an expedition to the destination after fifty-odd days of their visit.

October 11: As ReDkp's eye lens saw its daylight on the second day of the TNNLU Onam Celebration, an important notification popped up... Thaan Thada Thaan...! The reaction to the same was a teary-eyed ReDkp. The Mail said that it's official, your abstract has been selected for a three-day legal history conference with the specification of the code of reply to reply to the mail to confirm the receipt of the communication. We confirm the receipt. Travel Planning for the mission gathers momentum in parallel with the enjoyment of Onam.

November 8: The Desktop folder titled "Mission Redfort" saw its daylight! I, seemingly Revealed this mission a couple of days ago, to the Nightingale of TNNLU because Utmost secrecy became close to impossible at that point.

November 18: ReDkp leaves the campus after the end of the semester with his rarely-seen Red Aristocrat suitcase. That should have served some hint!

November 19-30: As the Agent reached his central base, the work immediately started on the front of drafting the paper. Reaping the benefit from an already disrupted sleep schedule, the agent was found drafting between 21:00 hours to 03:00 hours. My Parents back home though were not happy seeing their kid turning into a Sleepless Batman.

Life in that phase was like this:

Sunrise-ai paarthathillai kanninmani

Engalukku early morning pathu mani

(Excerpts from Yethi Yethi)

After fighting out the phase, at 23:58 hours on 30th November after compiling all the work done by mr. spartan, I pushed our paper into the Google form.

I revealed my plan to the NIT twinnies Naga Babu and Krishna Babu in this phase. I also revealed our mega mission plan to my busy intern. To my surprise, she was also in Dilli! Wow! Was destiny giving me more missions? Meeting someone at the NCT would be another mission that would always be fun since both of us had the blue line of Delhi Metro as the common subset in our missions

Me playing the game of mathematical permutations and combinations was like:

November 28: An Instagram account named galaxer_bond_007 came into existence. He was establishing the Photographic OG!

December 2: He meets someone a man of few words, who works on hectic and difficult missions and is always in a monotonous mad rush. After getting a physical copy of the paper, he met Annabond at his base. I communicated my mission plan in detail as such! He was like "I am waiting!"

A Symbolic Depiction ANNABOND and ReDkp Bonding maybe! Both agents keenly observe things and meet near the LCA Gate! But even he did not know about the mission until it got official on October 11.

December 3: Good to go Chief! Les Go! He heard from back home ..."

This mission is the biggest, longest and toughest expedition undertaken until now, the conditions will be harshest,... It will require Tenacity, Tolerance, Judiciousness, Adrenaline rush reactions, and importantly Calmness. You should do it for them because you are ReDkp because of them..."

He lifts the baggage and sails downstairs from his home towards Baiyapanhalli Metro to head towards KSR Bengaluru station with a villainous grin since this marked the beginning of the madness to be unleashed. The Bloody Sweet 'OG' unleash marked it beginning there!

DAY 1: December 3rd: The Beginning

This station is emotional every time since like a travelling soldier, I do not know what will happen next and when I will return to this point the next time. This time, it was no different either. The next time, I would return here as a Failed Captain or as a Messianic Conquerer.

Train Number 22691: Ksr Bengaluru-Hazrat Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express. Routeing: Secunderabad Junction, Nagpur Junction, Bhopal Junction. Distance: 2,514 Kilometres

Travel Time: 33 hours and 30 minutes!

With this setup, I reach platform number 8 of KSR Bengaluru around 19:15 hours to find the king of Indian Railways, the Rajdhani Express. Yes the same Rajdhani that crossed this T-verse in the first expedition but there is a twist this time. The travel time was going to last for thirty-three and a half hours stretching across three days. So to avoid any further inconvenience, we booked this train since the next fastest train Karnataka Express (Which followed a different route) covered a distance of 2,392 kilometres in some 37-38 hours. Food was a major problem on this route and considering this expedition was the first of its kind for me, we booked this train to reduce the risk factor.

If I call travelling in 3AC Rajdhani Coach a struggle have a meme:

Meanwhile, my father from the corner is like:

An attempt to troll my so-called struggle, but then I developed a consciousness of what is the privilege to be travelling in such a premium train. My father while booking the ticket made a sarcastic dig that he has travelled on airlines numerous times an opportunity to travel on a Rajdhani Express was still a dream. But then, the struggle was going to be for real!

It was going to be harsh because the options for killing time were going to be limited since the distance was going to be 2,367 kilometres and the stretch had certain terrains where the mobile network was going to be bleak. With the challenge posed to sustain the bleakish network, this Gen Z 'OG' boarded the train at the time stamp 20:00 hours and as the train pushed from KSR Bengaluru up north, there were clear instincts of this turning into a valiant saga. I informed Spartan Bhai as soon as the train pushed off Bengaluru about my departure.

I started posting Instagram stories to tease the unleash of the upcoming madness. This was not something people were expecting on a late evening of an early December day. One such reaction came from my schoolmate Neh. The astonishing fact is that we never met in the past one and a half years since we passed out from School despite being virtual neighbours. There were a couple of exchanges of "Hi" when I crossed through during my vacations though

The reaction was not surprising since no one had an idea of such an expedition coming ahead from this side and this shows my agent instincts have gotten so strong that not just my virtual neighbour but even my roommate had no idea about what was cooking in the mess hall table. How would she know about my presence since I worked when the world slept and slept through when the world saw the daylight?

Through the time of chat, I ended up revealing my mission since I considered it no crime to reveal it to my friends now since it was all but official that an inevitable was going to happen. I made one thing very clear:

Tomorrow whole day I am to spend on this train!

A Coach Tour as such!

After completing all the formalities of the day, I made my bed with the provided bedroll and tried to fall asleep to set myself for an eat, sleep and repeat sort of day for a long time now. But then sleeping on a train was always going to be a distant dream.

Somehow after managing that night with my walkman-like setup, my eye saw its daylight to my longest train travel day at 06:30 hours after the catering staffer woke my consciousness to serve the day's first tea kit. What irked me was that, unlike Shatabdi/ Tejas Express, there was no option between Tea or Coffee, which made no sense for a premium service as such. To enjoy that tea kit, I had to freshen up.

DAY 2: 4th December 2023: The Long Day Ahead

By then the train had made its presence felt into Telangana, cruising at 130 kmph As the train pushed into the outskirts of Hyderabad, I glued to the window expecting to capture the view of Hussain Sagar Lake as the train pushed into Secunderabad Junction!

The one legit pastime activity was juggling up and down the side berths! A Side Upper berth feels like the most private berth in a cabin as a whole. No Disturbance, Absolute Peace!

The Glassy View of Hussain Sagar Lake

The time-stamped 07:00 hours, the train pushed into Secunderabad Junction! I still have the memories of that first mission afresh. This was the same junction where the agent ReDkp saw the dawn, and the confidence to expedite India found its trace at Secunderabad Junction. It had been 11 hours since the train had departed and the next water bottle would be issued only after 20 hours of departure. Hence, it was essential to procure a bottle of Rail Neer!

(PS: It should be noted that any water bottle should be sold for an MRP of 15 rupees in stations or trains. One should not end up paying 20 rupees at any point for a Rail Neer bottle!)

This train serves for so many stretches that there is constant boarding and deboarding. As the train pushed out of Secunderabad Junction, I happened to meet Loki who had a middle muddle (A middle berth in our cabin). He was slotted to travel to IIT Kanpur, so he was slotted to travel up to Agra from Secunderabad. To combat the boredom ahead, I started to make friends with my co-passengers around.

We received a copy of the Times of India Newspaper, Hyderabad Edition as the train departed from Secunderabad Junction. The Next Stop was Kazipet Junction which was slotted to arrive at 08:50 hours.

As the train crossed Kazipet Junction, we received the typical breakfast that was boarded at Secunderabad Junction. As I made my second tea of the day and opened Instagram, I got the horror news that Chennai was all choked and cooked by that one day of heavy rains. It was the d-time of the year where bread packets would be dispersed from the helicopters and people would travel on boats. Social Media was nothing but filled with hate and hate. Rationality had been laid in peas! With the limited social media presence in 2015 at least, the environment was much healthier. I had to understand the real-time situation in Chennai since my return journey was scheduled via Chennai Central. But Thanks to the bleak network, I had to wait until the train crossed the bleakish stretch to clear the air.

The Side Seat is heaven for capturing views but it gets frustrating to consistently sit through the bleakish phase of the network and to look through the monotonous dry stretch of Telangana to Maharastra. As I sipped that dose of tea, I suddenly remembered Chandu Baba from the class of 2k22 K.V. D.R.D.O., whom we used to tease as Chaiwala XD. As I posted this on my Instagram story, I got a reply from him as well asking if it was him. Though I put it with the intention as it were him! But as per Just Redkp things, I replied:

Ok lemme put it up in this way: If you are ain't offended, it would be you If you are offended then ain't you!

That should have made sense, he was like:

No issues man

But then teasing someone that way was wrong, we should publicly apologize to such nakkalities.

At 11:02 hours, I made a phone call to scarlet_witch127 since the lines in Chennai were all but down and I was trying to call my relatives, but none could turn up as such. As I thought, I should be calling NBA or anyone else, if the call didn't reach, she picked up and confirmed that the clips on social media were no exaggeration and the rains were still persistent. I could feel the horrors of the rain god from that broken call lasting for a minute. After that, I just climbed up the side berth to complete the incomplete. Not Blog and all, sleep!

As the train crossed Balharshah, we received the Lunch for the day, which would be similar to the dinner. As the network was better, I continued binge-watching a breezy film on YouTube titled "Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum," which I had started when the train had crossed Kazipet.

The Famous Sewagram Curve! Whatever the priority of the train, the curve is so sharp that a train should be operating at a reduced speed to stop or skip through Sewagram Junction. By then most of my friends had indicated that they were safe but it was all not normal yet. Sceptical to make a call to the person, I texted another batchmate, to find out how was the situation in Chennai! Lol was the reply I got:

lots of waterr xD

That message had me on my knees because my return ticket was to Chennai and what if my train was cancelled, if things didn't become normal? It would be a disaster and I potentially would be stranded in Delhi until I could find my way to return home! Keeping such thoughts away, the train entered Nagpur Junction at around 15:00 hours. It had been 19 hours since the departure from Bengaluru.

The first thing to be done was procure some fifty rupees worth of Nagpur Oranges that I could carry back for my friends in Delhi. They tasted a bit unique in comparison to the traditional oranges we tend to find.

Nagpur could easily be the point where the feeling of the South India ended and the gateway to the 'OG' North India. As the train pushed out of Nagpur, the train was technically on a four-hour non-stop run between Nagpur to Itarsi. But within 40 kilometres since its resumption, the train was abruptly stopped at some random station. Within the next ten minutes came the shocker of my life. A Rajdhani Express was overtaken by a Vande Bharat. Damn!

Yes, Train Number 20912-Nagpur-Itarsi Vande Bharat overtook our train. Wow, this implies what matters the most in priority these days.

The dense forest stretch had many tunnels. This one was a surprise though. There was a stark change in the geography post-Nagpur as a whole.

After spending some time speaking with my friends and back home on whatever network was available, the train reached Bhopal Junction around 21:00 hours. It marked 25 hours since departure. I could feel the chills of the north at 20 degrees Celsius. From this point, the temperature was only going to drop further as we headed northwards.

Loki was concerned since the train would reach Agra Cantt at 02:55 hours and didn't know what to do next. So, the agent had this idea of halting at a railway dormitory at the station. So we looked into the IRCTC Retiring Room website since looking for a room in Agra would be exploitative as such. The procedure to book a dormitory or a room in a station is that one is required to provide a valid PNR number and we could find out whether a facility is available in the source or destination station or not. The mission of booking a dormitory was a success. We exchanged our phone numbers. I made a contact in Hyderabad now.

Premium Service = Premium Exploitation huh? I saw that coming! After all the services of the day were over they came to every berth and were expecting some odd rupees as their Chai Paani Cut from the passengers. I had to pay 100 rupees from my wallet to keep them away from my space. While they tried to outsmart me expecting some more from me, I blackmailed them that I would be raising a complaint on 139 with this clip as a piece of evidence.

They got jerked as they understood that they messed with a badass agent and returned the 100 rupees that I had already passed over. ReDkp khush hua benstoke! But I could not prevent the exploitation in a larger picture due to the stupid common man mentally!

The Last Leg of the Journey commenced! There was a non-stop run between Bhopal Junction to Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi Junction. My heart rate was soaring high as I realised that I would be facing extreme weather in some more hours, the coach had gone dark. People bound for Jhansi and Gwalior were counting their last hours in the coach and I was yet again facing a certain degree of sleeplessness.

Then I find certain experimental voice chats popping up in the Constitution Law group (Yes, none escaping from my universe haha). Our dear Mr AKS sir was very much concerned about our status since Chennai was flooded and he wanted to understand Chennaitite's status in particular.

I decided to involve myself in that experiment so that I could also understand the status in Chennai. As I joined the chat, I saw my previous collaborator in crime in the chat as well. She had already landed in Delhi for an internship and that is something I knew a few days before the departure. So I did inform her about my arrival. In the chat, I made sure, I enquired about the early morning temperatures in the city to mentally prepare myself for the battle ahead.

A few Chennaitites were also present and realising that the situation was improving itself is a silver lining for my mission. As Sir understood I was heading towards the National Capital for less than one week, firstly neither I revealed my intention nor he understood my intent but I was advised about the pollution levels in Dilli along with an advice not to stand near the train doors late in the night at a 130 kmph corridor. Taking note of them, I returned to my berth to count the last hours of the journey. Keeping track of where is my train app concerning the location of the train, I fell asleep. The next that flashed should have been around 2:45 a.m. as Lokesh just indicated a bye signal. I too replied the same way, only to fall asleep.

DAY 3: THE OG ENTERS THE NCT

The time was around 05:00 hours, by then the train was some 80-odd kilometres away from Hazrat Nizamuddin. People had lost their sleep and started getting ready for deboarding. I went to freshen up, only to realise that the train had been running an hour late since Agra Cantonment due to the persistent dense fog. The temperature was around 14-15 degrees Celsius at that point and the water was ice cold.

As I walked back into the coach, I realized that my iconic power glasses of speculation were missing from my face. I Searched all through the compartment, but I could not track it. I assumed it to have fallen off on the tracks while freshening up since I had placed it in my KVS hoodie's side pocket. For a minute, my world had shaken without knowing with what face would I convey this disgrace of mine to my parents since it cost 4K rupees, which was more than what I had in my reserves for the trip.

But this is where the scientific brainchild of the agent woke up. I turned into Sherlock Holmes for a brief moment. I made a hypothesis of those moments and assumed that the glasses were all but present near the A/C Coach's door that I had pulled and pushed for that moment. It proved to be a masterstroke since as I analyzed the gang path of the first cabin near that door, I found them just deep under seat number 7. Masterstroke!

After 13 blogging minutes, Delhi's cold welcome was like this:

Yeh delhi hai mere yaar,

Bass ishq mohabbat pyaar! (Excerpts from DILLI-6)

After Crossing eight states and 2,366 kilometres across 34 hours and 30 minutes of train travel, the agent made it into the National Capital. Spartan Bhai had given me certain directions. My Boys were based at Rajpur Extension whose nearest metro connection was the Chhtarpur Metro on the yellow line, from there catch a tuk-tuk towards the extension. It was going to cost 50 rupees from Sarai Kale Khan Nizamuddin Metro to our base. Follow this map...

Sarai Kale Khan-Nizamuddin to Chhatarpur via Dilli HAAT INA Extension interchange. Pink Line to Yellow Line. The Distance should be around 20 kilometres.

A MIRROR PIC to cover the instincts of the agent. Looking like a spy or an agent delegated by the principal institution to complete the missions. But that was not the real reason for this attire. It was because of the smog and the North Indian winter meant that the agent was found to be dressed like an assassin.

By the time I reached our base, the time had already clocked 8 and the rest of our boys were already on their delegated intern duties. Spartan Bhai received me at the entrance of the Rajpur Extension. From this point, this mission was going to be a joint mission since the main mission had both of us starring in equally important roles.

This was the smog around 07:30 hours at Chhatarpur Metro Station. My glasses were all but foggy within 30 seconds of exposure. My Lunch was some Muradabadi biryani for the day, a different style of Biryani from what I tried in Southern India!

Most of Day 3 was centred around my phone call to my Chennai Relations only to find the phone line to be down. I knew by then that Nungambakkam had sunk under the waters as such. I spent the afternoon alone since Spartan had his cricket academy every alternate day, so he left the base around 14:00 hours dropping me off at the Biryani Point for lunch.

By then I had received the programme schedule from the delegates group. We were placed in technical session ten, the first session of 8th December 2023. I had an outing plan but returned only to doze off as an effect of the Cetirizine dose that I had consumed during the train journey the night before entering Delhi as a precautionary measure to control my nose!

My Boys returned from their intern capacities and we were also occupied with the comprehensive reading and analyzing of the hard copy of our paper. My boys would cook dinner after their long intern day. It was such a vibe to witness the scenes of solidarity there. Our Kitchen setup had an induction with some utensils. It was 22:00 hours and I had the cooked mail. The taste was top notch and the effort that was put to cook that meal was more applaudable. We decided to host a small chicken dinner post-conference for the boys.

DAY 4: 6th December 2023: The D-reveal day arrived

I have been waiting for this morning for the past four months. Our day started sharp at 06:00 hours as my eyelids saw foggy daylight. We were expected to be at the venue before 10:00 hours. Despite the temperature being 14 degrees Celsius, we were quick enough to freshen up. We started from our base at 07:00 hours. The distance between GGSIPU and our base was at least 27 kilometres and Dwarka 14 metro was the nearest station from GGSIPU.

The Metro route was quite simple: Chhatarpur to Hauz Khas (Yellow Line)+ Hauz Khas to Janakpuri West (Magenta Line)+ Janakpuri West to Dwarka 14 (Blue Line). By the time we reached Dwarka 14, the time was already 09:30. We had plans to look for breakfast options nearby but we skipped the breakfast yet another time in our life. The campus was opposite NLU Delhi, so they were neighbours as such. The campus was 1.1 kilometres from the metro station, and a tuk-tuk journey would cost 15 rupees. We could have easily walked the distance but we just did not have the energy to do so and hence signed in for the ride.

As we entered the campus, our first impression was the posh infrastructure that we witnessed. As we signed the formalities to collect the delegate kit, there was a stunner of a moment that followed! We saw our ex-big boss i.e. it was none other than Dr V.S. Elizabeth, ma'am, entering the reception area! Spartan Shocked, ReDkp Rocked and both of us were stunned for a minute. Ma'am being the current president of the ALL India Legal History Association was actively involved in the conduction of this event. We could not just go and speak immediately as such since it was no classroom and it was a high-profile event. We waited for the right time for any interaction ahead.

Credit: GGSIPU

We entered the Amphitheatre auditorium and found the last row to sit in since we wanted to stay away from the spotlight. After everything settled down we realised that we were potentially the youngest to be presenting in this conference since every other delegate had wisdom whites in experience. The programme schedule also stressed the same since we were the only presenter team belonging to the UG level and those who were listed as students were PhD Scholars. We had nothing to lose as such.

The inaugural ceremony had a delayed start since the chief guest of the event faced certain delays in reaching the premises. The Chief Guest for the ceremony was Indira Banerjee ma'am, who holds the distinction of being just the eight-woman to be appointed as a judge to the Supreme Court and had also held the position as the Chief Justice of the Madras High Court, only the second woman to hold that distinction in India.

By then we had realised that our minds had realised that we were living a moment of our lifetime but our empty stomachs did not let us enjoy the moment. We helplessly had to wait for the late snack break. The time finally arrived, and during the refreshment break, we managed to meet our professor. Though she initially struggled to remember us as I flashed my TNNLU Identity Card, she recognised both of us.

She was not very surprised by my presence as such because it was my second conference within six months in her presence. We interacted for a good five minutes. But the next move was something that was bound to surprise us since we were introduced to fellow delegates and student volunteers as her students. Many of them were astonished by the fact that we noobs were here to present our intellect. I was looking like a kiddo in a clean shave as such.

Reaping advantage of the situation, we asked for a selfie with Ma'am and we got that as well. That was a piece of evidence for one of those moments that we could be flexing for the rest of our lives. At the end of the interaction, ma'am made a promise that she would be present during our turn in technical session 10.

That promise gave us the motivation to go observe the nature of the technical sessions to strategize our presentation day because the last time I stood in the dias at my home turf to present a paper on the Later Pandyas, one the resource persons of the season, Chandni bi ma'am had asked a question on the title of our paper and it's relevance to a legal history conference as such. That was such a welcome bouncer to be faced by a batsman since the rest of my presentation went quite concussed yet was satisfactory, thanks to my co-presenter's show-stealing answer to that question.

We had time to observe T-1 and T-3. There were some extraordinary themes and papers that were presented but the paper presented by Prof. Lawrence Liang sir, an old protege of Elizabeth Ma'am on K.L. Gauba's legal thrillers being a source of legal history was something out of the box.

As we were done for the day, we bumped into Liang Sir near the gallery, we had an immediate conversation and after a brief introduction, we understood that though sir had Chinese origin, he was a typical Bengalurean, and he knew about K.V. D.R.D.O. as well. For that one minute in the lift, we both interacted in Kasturi Kannada only to leave Spartan Bhai scratching his head. By the time we reached the exit of the campus, my skull cap was torn in an attempt to wear it. We walked that one kilometre to reach Dwarka-14. Since it was getting late, I had my dinner at Burger King's Chhatarpur Metro Outlet and bought a skull cap at the business end of the day. We reached our base at 22:00 hours. It was indeed a long day.

DAY 5: 7th December: Nothing Much just Strategies

We just could not afford such an embarrassment like the one in that clip. So we focused mostly on the strategy for our day. Though initially, Spartan was to open the proceeding, we decided to swap our roles and I decided to open with a positive intent. I decided to make the ppt in such a way it conveyed our conviction as a whole. We placed an image that I had clicked during the Gram Shaba Meeting that was held on 15th August 2022 at Navalurkootapattu, Srirangam Taluk, Tiruchirapalli District-620009., as the opening credit.

On a relatively hassle-free day, I made up some time to call my friends and back home. In the night, I had a conference call with the NIT Twinnies as well. I had my mind at uber coolness after those interactions. I decided to disturb Annabond only post the end of the event since he had his exams beginning at that point.

This breezy song had an imperative role, as I was putting some finishing touches to our PPT at late night with some reel trends.

DAY 6: 8TH December 2023: d-ARJAN VAILY Day!

This day was on the way to become an unforgettable and long day!

Following the same routine as the last two days, we reached the venue for our technical session by 09:35 hours, yet again missing our breakfast. The conference hall looked like the Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg which is popularly referred to as the Bull Ring. The Chairperson for the technical session was someone who had expertise in the area of Constitutional Law and our paper had aspects of Constitutional History. Ma'am along with some important dignitaries also arrived for the technical session. Technical Session with the title: Story of Governance began around 10:20 hours with 20 minutes per paper to be presented.

We began our presentation and I had started with such an aggressive intent that I presented for 17 minutes and Spartan took the preceeding ahead. At the end of the presentation, we were applauded by everyone in the hall and that followed some questions. Those questions were so nuanced that their discussion would be more apt in Side B of this series. Having people asking such nuanced questions meant that our paper and its presentation received some appreciable attention in the circuit and we had done a decent job.

I stepped out of the conference hall with a super protagonistic feeling with a heads-up since this happened for real! Thaan...Thada...Thaan...

Post the conference, I was at the top of the world, I blasted my happiness with a phone call back home and it was 12:30 hours when a cup of Nescafe proved to be my brunch for the day. The student volunteers who have been in touch with me since day 1, enquired about my presentation and in turn, I enquired about the spots where I could be involved in some snapping. They also suggested an exploration of the streets of South Delhi.

Post Lunch, Spartan felt he was done for the day, so I stayed back for the valedictory session to collect our certificates for which I had to wait upto 16:30 hours. I informed him that I would be reaching a bit late. He warned me to reach the base before it was too late.

As I headed towards the exit...It was slowly growing dark... He was never to be found there after that moment!

I sent Annabond, this picture and texted

Side A was a success! Going Rogue for Side B

I texted my busy intern with the plan in this sense:

The Sun Shall Raise...The T-verse will expand...Until then continue vibing as I run towards Redfort be like:

Viralodu Vizhiyum vaadum

Viraigindra kaalam nogum

Irunthaalum varugiren...

What were those two questions and explorer instincts...Stay Tuned...

This was one hell of a mission Nanba...

  • Travelling 33.5 hours at one strech

  • Floods hitting Chennai which caused anxious thoughts of being stranded at Delhi, with no real time updates possible (sorta like the Anbe Sivam situation)

  • Making new connections amidst travel

  • Uncovering sketchy money making tactics used by the railway employees

  • Being the only UG presenter team

Tenacity, tolerance, judiciousness and so many heart racing moments that required constant usage of those agent instincts you possess mate.

But hey, those instincts complete you. You are RedKp because of them after all! 😎

This voyage had all the elements of a typical bond film ROFL (galaxer_bond_007 🤔)

You proved that you aren't a failed Captain, but a Messianic Conqueror…

ReDkp: Wow! What a comment it was! Late'a Vandhalum, Latest'a Landed!

Saturation will be avoided! Too much of T-verse now! It is time to break that characteristic and return to the pre-T-verse era!
