But only the public is to be accountable? Certainly not because for how many days can we expect people to sit home as everyone had livelihood and people had to come out at a certain point and expecting everyone to wear a mask and sanitizing is not practical in our society.

· A mask costs rs 30, which sounds too affordable for us, but not for an average daily worker as his thinking would be to save the 30 rupees for his daily expense. That is why we find people not wearing masks frequently in public places.

· Now a section of people from the opposition, start to blame one man for the crisis. Now we’re to understand that it is a crisis, making a person accountable is not the solution.

· the so-called educated people in the urban, semi-urban areas have indulged in more violations of the protocol supposed to be followed. These get unnoticed as such things happen in the places like markets, malls, restaurants, cinemas, schools, etc. Before making the government accountable we’re to the first review for actions.

· So finally who is accountable? The fact is neither the government machinery nor the public is to completely blame, it is the failure of the system.

· System here consists of the public, the government machinery, the media, and the opposition, etc. All are the stakeholders of the system. It is justifiable as the public couldn’t follow the protocol, the govt machinery, unfortunately, couldn’t foresee the second wave(instead we were declaring victory against covid-19), the opposition didn’t play its role effectively.

· Also our icons who could influence a considerable population of the innocent public were themselves not following the protocols and were found making unscientific and blatant statements on covid-19.

· So, it’s a systematic failure. Making one part accountable is not fair enough. Now, to beat the second and third waves it’s on the onus of the 1.37 billion (approximately).
