Isn't that moment when it can be articulated that "He is back! Finally." My ardent followers back home might have been waiting for this moment for a while. To be precise a comeback should only be made when there is a scope for making it.
While reading that write-up, that ardent reader should be able to get the feeling of "Dhoom Again And Run Away With Me on A Rollercoaster Ride." Until such an Idea struck, the scope of making a comeback was always going to be out of the equation. But That Idea has finally struck the right cord with the right pointers in the catch phrasing. Though the full groove is something that the writer has been searching for, that partial groove that has been attained through the writing process in the atmosphere settled should be capitalized in the right prospect."
It's not a crime to take a break. Let's have a look at sportspersons taking a mental health break from the business as the best parallel that could be drawn. How these institutes claim for same rankings should be left under a cliffhanger for now that could be discussed in the second perspective. This one should be about the perspective of an average aspirant in these institutes.
The very process of defining education is as tough as defining morality, but concerning a big banner dictionary like the Oxford dictionary, it is defined as the process of learning. Further, when the definition of coaching is referred to in the same book, it can be inferred as the development of a particular skill with the help of someone who has some experience in the same field.
If all the definitions are fine, the application needs to be done to the scenario of coaching centres in the state of India. In these centres, every year lakhs of Indian students enrol in various courses offered by these institutes with one hope, that the dream or the lakshya of clearing an entrance exam fixed will be achieved by them. Parents of these wards pay exorbitant fees in the same synonymous hope as their wards. The students who aspire to clear an entrance are branded as aspirants by the biggies. The Hub of Coaching "Kota" in the Indian state itself has a significant population of aspirants joining the reputed institutes in the city. It is believed that in the city of Kota, there is special training given to the aspirants. The economy of Kota majorly depends on these coaching centres. That is a wholly different zone that deserves a separate discussion.
To understand such vast entry of aspirants into various coaching institutes, it is important to understand the system around an entrance exam. An entrance exam is conducted to select the best candidates from a sample space of aspirants who want to enter an institution of education or capacities of internship or employment. There could be various ways and stages of testing involved in these entrance systems. But the very typical form of testing a candidate is in the form of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
This MCQ pattern of questioning is considered to be a different ball game played at completely alien conditions since school or the most hyped board exams are quite the home condition which require only the bare minimum with clear basics to secure a decent score whereas in an entrance exam there requires more than the bare minimum to clear the entrance exam. The major entrance exams in India include JEE Mains, JEE Advanced, NEET, CAT, CLAT, etc. It is considered that it is difficult to clear these exams without special guidance in the form of coaching and mentoring. This is one genuine reason that could be provided in the aspect of enrolling a student into these institutes.
But there are many other most known yet least spoken reasons for such volumes of enrollment in these institutes. The most important factor is "Sharma Ji ka beta."
In our parental circles, during gossip, it will flow that the Son of Sharma Ji is doing just too well in academics, and with further inquiry, they end up learning that the guy studies in this reputed institute.
That sparks the parent's interest to think about admitting their wards into these Institutes with the above-mentioned hope. The students also join these institutes at tender ages. These Institutes offer a package scheme called "Foundation Courses." These courses are offered generally to students of classes 8 to 10 by the biggies, whereas there are instances where such courses are offered to students of class 6. Lol! Yeah. The most popular opinion courtesy of the way these institutes pack the courses is to acclimatize the aspirants to the competitive atmosphere around these entrance exams.
The Intention doesn't sound bad but since society is brightened with darkness, it is this society that changed this healthier competition into an act of formal toxicity. From the above statement, the brightened part by our decision-makers. Now there could be counters that if the student is not interested to join the atmosphere, he should not be consenting to the parental desire. In fact from a parental perspective, by enrolling their ward in these reputed institutes, they feel the security that there is the right guidance at the place since there is a genuine lack of trust in the schools where the ward studies, despite paying a lucrative amount of school fees, the possibility of special attention on one particular child is quite less, since a classroom could have forty students as it's minimum strength.
" We don't choose the best alternative most of the time, but instead we choose for the more convenient option in every occassion.The convenient option could be the best route in the end. But, best option can't really be convenient accordingly ( Opinions could differ as well)."
The quote holds good even after months from the lastly published write-up on the "Rolling Rolex." In this context, for any parent, although enrollment could have some amount of capital being invested, still it becomes convenient for an occupied parent since he/she lacks the required time to pay attention to his/her ward and the ward's preparation towards the lakshya. Hence, coaching is an option of convenience, but in ideality, formal schooling is the best option which shouldn't be considered as convenience at any cost, since it is the only phase of personality development and trait exploration for a child. Is this option of comfort the best route in the end?
There comes the aspirant's perspective, well not many of them would directly join an Institute in class 11 and 12 to prepare for an entrance exam, hence it observed that most of the enrollments in the course would be from the foundation level courses. While Joining that foundation course, the ward made that decision at 12 or 13 years of age, the above counter-argument can easily be dismissed since the age of 12 to 13 is the time frame when maturity to take strict decisions is not completely attained and parental influence on such decisions are quite there since they are customers of the product and the ward is the consumer of the product. Also, the ward could have an immature grudge about joining an institute only for the sake that most of the friendship circle had enrolled themselves in that institute.
It is an imperative observation, that a ward who makes an impression in the coaching atmosphere within that honeymoon period of two to three months of enrollment, the whole year in that setup will go fine whereas if the ward is not able to make a mark in that setup within that period, he/she will have a tough time in the setup. By underperforming in the institute's tests, the aspirant's performance in school academics also could be impacted. This could lead to the ward developing fear of failure, anxiety, stress etc...
Also, it is important to make the point, that the reason why the majority are unable to clear an entrance exam is that their principle is based on the concept of selective inclusion and also that majority of aspirants don't go according to their will and interest and choose a wrong lakshya and end up not doing so well, and they end up considering a failure since these wards had sacrificed a lot of the pleasures for something that didn't mean great significance to their experience called life since he/she did not follow the passion of the heart and the mind since someone did say:
"Sound Mind in a Sound Body."
Also, one exam failure does not determine the future lying ahead. It should be recalled the big time that:
" Life is a boomerang, today you might have lost, tommorow you shall win, since no state in this universe is of permanancy."
