"When I finished my previous m-blog on Anbe Sivam, immediately I got a month's amazon prime subscription for free as I recharged a refill data through the airtel app, and I immediately made up my mind to watch a movie as it spoke about what it means to be hung to death, but wait what if I was wrongly framed and accused of the crimes I never committed."
"See, typically Indians follow rules (even if done so) in order escape from the charges and punishments according to the laws not exactly to respect the laws (This is what I have observed and done the same as in case If I travelled on a train without a ticket, I am liable to pay a fine.)."
"Coming into the point, Sunday night I started watching yet another Kamal Hassan's movie Virumaandi and this kid just liked the gripping narrative that he watched this movie 12:40 am the next day and yet an hour of the movie was leftover for him to watch the next day ( The movie is 3hours long.)."

"Coming back to Virumaandi I would describe it as one of the most Rawest films to be made in the history of Cinema. This film is A Certified by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) ( Huh, A certified means don't think about watching it your families, which is a misconception in our society.). Just because a film is A certified it doesn't mean a good movie shouldn't be watched. As a toddler, I have watched this movie on a prime time show on television."
"The premise of the movie is formed around 6 character's:-Kothrala (Played by Pasupathy), Virumaandi( Kamal Hassan), Nalllama Nayakar ( Played by Napoleon), Annalakshmi(played by Abhirami), Dr Angela ( Played by Rohini) and Peykamman the deputy jailer and a village local ( played by Shanmugarajan)."
"The story takes place around the village of Ck Patti ( A typical village like any other in South Tamil Nadu.) where Virumaandi owns a large part of the land with high underwater levels, which is eyed by every other farmer in the village, Kothala and Nayakkar are also eyeing it. . Virumandi's grandmother dies, and at the funeral Nayakkar offers a huge sum for Virumandi's land. Virumandi vehemently rejects the bid insults both Kothala and Nayakkar and warns everyone from buying his land. Within a week, an assassination attempt is made on Virumaandi and the injured Virumandi is brought to the hospital by Annalakshmi. Virumandi realises his love for Annalakshmi and rejoins with Kothala. That's it can reveal along with the fact that at some point of time in the film Annalakshmi is found dead."
"Now what makes the film interesting is the use of Rashomon's effect. The concept is similar to a coin with dissimilar sides. In the film, the two characters ie Kothala and Virumaandi present their versions of the events that took place leading to drastic changes in their lives. First Kothala's interview is taken by Angela and when Virumandi's version of the story unfolds then things get a lot more clear and Kothala's version looks very much manipulated and then all build-up gets unfolded."
"I couldn't understand this song completely despite being from Madurai but very similar to Anbe Sivam here also in this song the traditional art forms of Tamil Nadu are represented which was a visual treat while watching it late night."
"Also there is a scene in the movie representing bull-taming, we in Tamil Nadu called it as Jalllikattu, which especially takes place during the Pongal season."

And that too based on evidence collected, or fabricated, by a police force not known for its probity or efficiency? And what if an FIR itself is false?."
"But wait how can we speak about the abolition of the death penalty? Do we remember the 2012 Dehli case where a few superhumans never accepted their mistake and humans should be immune from harsh penalties, not the superhumans who create unwanted nuisance threatening the democracy and dignity of Indian society and instilling instability, hatred and fear among the citizen? Until such elements exist such capital or corporal punishments shall exist as we officially are the biggest democracy in terms of population and it is very obvious that anti-socialist elements will exist. Most of the civilised world has abolished such punishments but are we supposed to do the same? The answer is maybe a yes, maybe a no or it's complicated to answer. But yes more people like Dr Angela ( fictional character) could transform this society by their work on the ground.
"The movie is available exclusively on Amazon Prime, and I would call it a better film that could be watched with English subtitles."
